From Aradia, Gospel of the Witches, by Charles G. Leland, [1899], at sacred-texts.com

To Diana.

Lovely Goddess of the bow!
Lovely Goddess of the arrows!
Of all hounds and of all hunting
Thou who wakest in starry heaven
When the sun is sunk in slumber
Thou with moon upon they forehead,
Who the chase by night preferrest
Unto hunting in the daylight,
With thy nymphs unto the music
Of the horn–thyself the huntress,
And most powerful: I pray thee
Think, although but for an instant,
Upon us who pray unto thee! 1

Then Virgil taught them also the Scongiurazione or spell to be uttered when good fortune or aught is specially required.

The Conjuration of Diana.

Fair goddess of the rainbow,
Of the stars and of the moon!
The queen most powerful
Of hunters and the night!
We beg of thee thy aid,
That thou may’st give to us
The best of fortune ever!

If thou heed’st our evocation
And wilt give good fortune to us,
Then in proof give us a token!

If thou art favourable
And wilt grant my prayer,
Then may I hear
The bark of a dog,
The neigh of a horse,
The croaking of a frog,
The chirp of a bird,
The song of a cricket,
et cætera.
Three or four of these sounds were generally selected. They vary more or less, but seldom materially, from these. Sometimes visible manifestations, as, for instance, lightning, are requested. To see a white horse is a sign that the prayer will be granted after some delay. It also signifies victory.

Artemis, I sing thy praises. From thy woodlands great I call unto thee. I have answered thee In the dark of night. Thy hands have fed me, And I am full. Thou Huntress of the Night, Divine Protectress, Keeper of all Mysteries, Let thy light flood me with wisdom And thy presence fill me. I have answered thee In the early morn. Thy song has comforted me And I am strong. Great Goddess of Moon and Magic, Mistress of the deer and owl, Be thou my guide and inspiration. Teach me thy mysteries, And lead me in thy ways. For I have seen thee beneath the cool, dark night, And I have answered thee.

Diana! Diana! Diana! Queen of all enchantresses And of the dark night, And of all nature, Of the stars and of the moon, And of all fate or fortune! Thou who rulest the tide, Who shinest by night on the sea, Casting light upon the waters; Thou who art mistress of the ocean In thy boat made like a crescent, Crescent moon-bark brightly gleaming, Ever smiling high in heaven, Sailing too on earth, reflected In the ocean, on its water; We implore thee give this sleeper, Give unto this good woman The great gift of understanding”

*

“Diana! Diana! Diana!

Who bearest a bow  And a quiver of splendour
With elegant arrows Made of glittering silver,

Who art Selene above Waxing in the sky,
And Hecate below Waning with a sigh,
And Artemis on earth Protecting child birth,

Diana, also known as the Goddess of the Hunt, or known to the Greeks as Artemis is one of the most popular goddesses.  She is one of protectors of women and childbirth.  As Goddess of the Hunt, she also protects animals and the forest and the Earth and keeps women and the Earth fertile and productive.

Diana is the goddess who helps us to realize our goals, and manifest our abundance.  women throughout ancient history would bring their wishes and desires to altars devoted to Artemis or Diana and cover the altars with cloths of silver and silver candlesticks.  To invoke the power of Diana you can create a ritual and perform it dressed in white with white candles burning.  Call upon Diana to make your life abundant by chanting the following:

This candle I dedicate to thee

Light the way so I might see

Your presence I do call

Mother, nurturer to us all

Hail Goddess Artemis
