Art: Pictured is a Fox, guarding her 2 kits in confrontation with a large badger, surrounded by 7 staffs of bamboo, creating a cage.
Impression: something very important to the fox is being threatened. Something irreplaceable and dear. Unsure if the badger is attacking out of desire or that he was placed in the same situation of “Must fight!” seems both parties are trapped.
Book interpretation:” taking a stand , defending what you believe in. the world is full of strife and stiff competition, and one must have courage in facing these difficulties. do not buckle under strong winds but sway like the bamboo. seemingly insurmountable odds can be overcome with faith and courage.”
Commentary: I think I wait to long to stand up for what I strongly believe in. I let the mainstream religion here guide a lot of my actions as a person and a club leader. it isn’t a bad way to do things but stepping in where I can and speaking to the contrary or for the better is sometimes a good thing. I heard a definition of Courage the other day that means ” To tell YOUR true story with an open heart.” Sometimes the fight isn’t the true confrontation, the story or getting there is. oh this is a little rambling I’m gonna stop and come back to it later.
Message for the day: Watch out! someone may want to put you in a corner, challenge you or someone you are protective of. be aware of your surroundings!
Reflection: Wow. talk about conflict today. Several things came to my attention that really shook my judgment. None of them were attacking me but absolutely awakened that protective instinct in me. Gonna pay more attention!
