I really felt I needed to set up a separate one for my family so I did! Ta DA! It lives in my office for the moment (really organizing magical space in a 2 bedroom apt should be a recognized accomplishment!!)
Usually it’s been combined with my deity altar but decided to see if separating it would help. It seems it has so far.
An offering of water and oats is central, before them sit a candle and incense burner.(filled with barley)
Pictured are my maternal grandparents and niece (right of water) and my paternal great-grandparents from both sides (left of water)
The bell was given to me by my maternal grandfather after he died.My grandmother’s nursing name badge, a reproduction of my grandfathers family milk label, a business card from my great grandmother, a stone heart, my niece’s favorite color of blue in bracelets we wore at her funeral and dirt(from her homestead they don’t know where she’s buried) from my husband’s ancestor -Rebbecca Nurse, hanged in Salem for witchcraft during the trials. Also there is a spoon engraved for me by my maternal grandfather, a stone from California-where my grandparents and great grandparents settled and passed and a heart box, given to me by my mother ( hold matches atm)
