We received a soft blanket of snow last night. I always love the magic and silence it brings. There is something special about the first snow of the season too and the way the world seems to slow for it, breathe with it in big white puffs bundles from a cocoon of wool and satin.
I opened my meditation with my oath and sat for 5 minutes, working my way up again to longer times. As I saw I thought of the snow’s encompassing quality, like the dark it is rejuvenating.
as my meditation bell rang I spoke on smoke from a heart of flame. ” Dear spirits and ancestors, shinning ones please accept my re-dedication with my offerings and sincerity. I draw this a card from this deck today for a message from you. For the mindfulness I keep. Hear my words on the smoke that rises from a heart that burns. with gratitude I draw my message.
The King of Wands:
“Resolute. Enquiring. Optimistic. He can hold vision and inspire others to co-operate with him with his enthusiasm and optimism. His natural ability to be a leader, combined with this affinity for fire, and hence dragons reminds of Arthur Pendragon and druid ritual. This person is lively, amusing, freedom-loving and ambitious. Fire needs air and open spaces to be strong. Adventuresome and decisive this King is progressive and passionate. ”
I should not be afraid of my decisions. I am strong enough to lead and deal with them. I do have reservations sometimes about my abilities as an employee making important decisions in regards to ecommerce and financial tracking, as well as my decision to continue with the ADF. Sometimes I hold doubt too close… “What if this turns out to be the incorrect path?” (work and spirit) but I need to remember that this is something I have chosen! The flame of my passion is fueled by my free will. I am capable and strong. Too often ones own power is forgotten- not in an egotistical way but a sure and steady knowing that I and my ancestors have cultivated the skills and knowledge necessary for me to live this life, to study what I do, to follow my passions and curiosity.
